Empowering growth through attachment-focused care
If you're feeling motivated to know yourself more deeply—to make sense of your patterns, relationships, and inner world—you're in the right place!
Hi! My name is Jami, and my practice is HopeSpark Therapy. Whether you're looking for a therapist to help with personal growth, healing, or bettering the important relationships in your life, I'd be honored to walk that path with you. Every relationship—especially the one you have with yourself—is shaped by the stories you’ve inherited and lived. I offer a space for you to slow down, reflect, and reshape the stories that define how you move through the world. Everyone makes sense in the context of their story.
Services Offered
-
Therapy focused on YOU. We will focus on understanding how the systems around you impact your life, and work to make meaning of it all. Whether the need is processing traumatic experiences, or navigating the stressors of your day-to-day, this space is for you and your goals.
Rate - $130/50 minute session
An important note: I am very comfortable working with folks with suicidal ideation and/or non-suicidal self injury, and prefer open dialogue around these needs. While I do not provide 24/7 crisis services, we will create safety plans to increase harm reduction and ensure you have emergency resources readily available. If you are unsafe and need immediate help, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

In this work, your relationship is my client, not either of you individually. Ideally, couples are aligned in their goal for therapy even if their goal for the relationship may be unclear. If you are both motivated for change and willing to show up for the work, I’m the therapist for you.
Rate - $170/50 minute session

Family therapy can be used for breaking generational patterns, improving conflict resolution, creating your ideal family system, and many other things! I work with families with children 12 years old and up, and have also supported adult children and their parents/caregivers.

While I serve a wide variety of individuals and relationships, I am especially passionate about serving the LGBTQIA+ community. I also have a special interest in asexuality and the impacts of compulsory sexuality.
Approach + Values
-
I'm incredibly passionate about creating a space that feels comfortable and warm, and that also promotes growth. I actively work to show up with a culturally humble, trauma-informed approach.
I prioritize building a trusting relationship that allows me to be straightforward with you during our sessions. In order to make the changes you want in your life, I believe it’s important to be able to compassionately challenge thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I believe therapy is political.
This means I believe it is important to understand how your mental health is impacted by the spaces you inhabit, the people you surround yourself with, and the information you take in..
It might sound comforting for a therapist to be described as “unbiased” or “apolitical,” but in practice, it often means avoiding difficult truths. A therapist who avoids naming the harm of power or oppression may unintentionally place the responsibility for pain and healing entirely on the client.
I believe it is a requirement for therapists to consistently examine their own biases in order to appropriately hold space for the people they serve.
